- Enrolment applications open from when your daughter is in Prep and close in the third week of January when your daughter is in Year 4.
- Year 5 and Year 7 are the main entry points for enrolment at the College, with a larger number of places available for year 5 entry.
- Enquiries for all other year levels are welcome, however these are subject to availability.
- Families interested in Years 8 to 11 are encouraged to contact our College Admissions Team on (07) 3860 7186. prior to submitting an application to join the Enrolments Wait Pool. Should a position become available, offers may be extended to applicants in the Wait Pool, in accordance with the College’s enrolment considerations.

Our Primary Years program fosters the development of students through tailor-made learning and pastoral programs designed to nurture inquisitive learners, build confidence, and grow character as people of integrity as students move through the College and into their teenage years.
Our Year 5 and Year 6 students are supported at each step of their journey by staff who are committed to providing excellence in age-appropriate learning experiences and pastoral support. Our Senior students are encouraged to question rather than to assume, to challenge rather than to conform, and are empowered to take the lead rather than to follow.
At St Rita’s College, we understand that figuring out what you want to do after school can be challenging, especially as our students exit the school gates and enter into jobs and careers that are continuously evolving. Who can enrol?
St Rita’s College enrols students from Years 5 - 12. Founded on the charism of Nano Nagle and inspired by the Presentation Sisters, St Rita's College is a faith community that provides a Catholic education for young women. Our student body is rich and varied and students from diverse religious backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Parents enrolling their daughters at St Rita's accept the College’s expectations of student attendance at formal religious education lessons and religious practices as outlined in the College Mission Statement.
When are our main entry years?
The College’s main enrolment intake years are Year 5 and Year 7, with the greatest number of places offered in Year 5.
Applications for Year 5 and Year 7 are submitted online. They are accepted from the time your daughter commences Prep and close on the third Friday in January of Year 4.
Applications for Year 5 and Year 7 are assessed together. Families are therefore asked to nominate their preferred entry year at the time of application.
Enquiries for all year levels are welcome, however places are subject to availability. Families seeking entry into year levels outside Year 5 and Year 7 are encouraged to contact our Admissions Team to confirm availability for their preferred year level.

Should I enrol for Year 5 or Year 7?
Year 5 and Year 7 are the main entry points for enrolment at St Rita’s College. With the College now welcoming a larger intake in Year 5, this year level has become the primary entry point for students joining our St Rita’s College community. Beginning in Year 5 allows girls to immerse themselves in the life of the College earlier, building friendships, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging before they transition into secondary schooling.

When should I submit an application for enrolment?
St Rita’s College accepts applications from the time your daughter commences in Prep.
Applications for Year 5 and Year 7 entry open when your daughter is in Prep and close on the third Friday in January of Year 4.
Please ensure you have submitted an online enrolment application by the closing date for your daughter to be considered. Applications received after the closing date for Year 5 and Year 7 entry will be placed in our enrolments wait pool.
Enquiries for all year levels are welcome throughout the year, however these are subject to limited availability.
Students applying to enter the College in years outside of Year 5 and Year 7 are encouraged to contact our Admissions Team to check the availability of places in your requested year level prior to submitting an application. An online enrolment application must be completed to be considered for the wait pool.
How much does it cost to apply?
A non-refundable enrolment application of $200.00 is required at the time of application.

How are applications considered?
All applications are subject to a thorough review process guided by the College Enrolment Policy.
St Rita’s continues to welcome new family associations each year. In the determination of Enrolment Offers preference will generally be given in the following order of priority:
1. Siblings of current or past students
2. Daughters of past students
3. Catholic students
4. Students who belong to other faith traditions
5. The College’s ability to cater for the specific talents and needs of each student.
Are we required to attend an enrolment interview?
All offers of enrolment at the College will be made subject to consideration of the information contained in the Enrolment Application and an interview with a member of the College Leadership Team.
Invitations for Year 5 and Year 7 enrolment interviews will be made in writing and commence during Term 4 when your daughter is in Year 3. Interviews may continue into Year 4, term 1. Successful applications will be contacted to arrange a suitable interview time.
Interviews for students seeking entry into years other than Year 5 and Year 7 will be conducted throughout the year subject to available places within the desired entry year level. Families will be contacted to arrange a suitable interview time to meet with members of the College Leadership Team.
When are offers of enrolment made?
Offers for Year 5 and Year 7 entry
Offers of enrolment will be made in writing early in Term 1 when your child is in Year 4.
Offers for Year 6, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 entry
Out of intake applications are addressed on a case by case basis and offers are made in writing throughout the year.
How do I accept an offer of enrolment?
Enrolment Contract and Enrolment Fee
If an offer of enrolment is made, parents will be asked to confirm their acceptance by paying an Enrolment Fee. This sum is payable as a single payment of $1,200 on acceptance. You will also be asked to digitally sign and return the Enrolment Contract. In the event of a cancellation, enrolment deposits are non-refundable.
Commencement Deposit
In the year prior to your child starting at St Rita’s College, you will be asked to pay a Commencement Deposit of $1,000.00. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, however, it will be deducted from your first term’s tuition fees.
If we receive an offer, can we defer commencement?
All Offers of Enrolment specify a specific commencement year. If you choose to decline this offer you can request to be placed in our enrolments wait pool for future vacancies in other years. As vacancies become available the College will make subsequent offers in line with our Enrolment Policy.
If you receive an offer for Year 5, there is no guarantee a position will be available in Year 7 as applications for both the Year 5 and Year 7 intake are considered at the same time.
What happens if my daughter does not receive an offer?
Each year the College receives a high number of applications for limited positions and unfortunately we are unable to accommodate everyone. If your daughter does not receive an offer you can request to be placed in our enrolments wait pool. As vacancies become available the College may make subsequent offers in line with our Enrolment Policy.
What happens if my daughter does not receive a Year 5 offer?
Applications for both the Year 5 and Year 7 entry are considered at the same time. In the event the College is not able to offer your daughter a Year 5 position, your daughter will be considered for a Year 7 position. As vacancies become available the College will make subsequent offers in line with our Enrolment Policy.
What support and extension opportunities are available at the College?
Through thoughtful curriculum design and teaching practices, each student’s individual requirements are acknowledged and addressed. We are committed to embracing and supporting the diverse learning profiles of our students, including those with disabilities. A dedicated team of inclusive education staff, including specialist teachers and teacher aides, collaborate closely with classroom teachers to provide targeted support and reduce barriers to learning and assessment. Through this collaborative approach, we aim to provide every student with the opportunity to achieve both personal and academic success.
For high-achieving learners, we offer a dynamic range of High Potential Learning and Extension programs designed to extend, enrich, and inspire. Students can engage in Extension Mathematics and Extension Humanities classes, which challenge them to think deeply, solve complex problems, and explore big ideas beyond the standard curriculum.
Does the College offer scholarships and bursaries?

Bursaries
The St Rita’s College Bursary program supports education opportunities for incoming students from families who, without financial assistance, would not be able to afford a St Rita’s College education. Further information can be found at our Bursaries page.

College Tours provide a wonderful opportunity for families to experience the vibrancy of our St Rita's College community firsthand as you explore our campus and learn more about our College offerings.
